I qualified as a Primary Teacher in 2006 (BA Hons and QTS) and have worked worked in various teaching and education leadership roles across Sussex and Hampshire. I also worked as a Professional Coach and Facilitator to support Teachers in developing and maintaining their practice at an Outstanding level. I am a qualified Level 3 Early Years SENCO and am currently reinforcing my Early Years Leadership knowledge by completing the NPQEYL. I am passionate about providing inclusive learning opportunities for all young children and am driven in ensuring that our team provides the best possible care for all children at our setting. I have two children who both attended (and loved the Preschool here). We spend most of our spare time in the outdoors; sailing, camping in our VW camper, SUPing, kayaking, climbing and walking our dog Hettie.

Elisabeth Dampney-Finch (Chair)

Holly Braggins (Secretary)

Melanie Aslin (Treasurer)

Claire Marsh (Committee Safeguarding Lead)

Melanie Myall – “I became a member of the Committee because I realised that the organisation is a charity and I wanted to help build funds so that the child could benefit from new resources and equipment. My youngest is in preschool so I wanted to make the most of these young years and support/help anyway I could. I think that Newick Preschool is fab because it’s such a small community feel unit and it feels very nuturing, safe and it also is important to me that they have such strong allies with the school, therefore helping prepare the children with what they need to cope well in Reception class at school.”
